Capricorn tea. Workin' For The Weekend

$15.00

Workin’ For The Weekend, a Capricorn tea blend takes its name from the song of the same title by Loverboy.

The final cardinal sign, a wise mythical Sea Goat, Capricorn, is ruled by Saturn and the element of Earth. And for them, we blended a tasty, piquant herbal tea for this zodiac archetype featuring: peppermint, mullein, nettles, safflower, burdock root, sarsaparilla root, chaste tree berries, cinnamon and cayenne.

This final, 4th Cardinal sign of Capricorn brings the trajectories of the previous season-beginning cardinal signs back down to Earth, where we can take what’s been sparked by the fires of Aries instigating Spring, nurtured or destroyed by the oceanic water environs of Cancer, and the life curating, dynamic winds of cardinal Air sign Libra. Capricorn draws what’s left back to the earth in Winter for future growth. It represents the stability of the physical, earthly form of the previous season’s iterations.

Capricorn season brings us to the skin and bones of it all in the cold, dark days of winter. The horned Capricorn wills  transitional processing of information into physical form in the frozen earth to be put forth into the next cycle for learning, growth and accumulation all over again. It is time, as Saturn dictates, that all this is processed again.

A Capricorn in flow will be deep in a rhythm of working adroitly, completing necessary tasks for the day and setting future goals. And conversely later in the evening, these deserving laborers will shake it off and be the most wild and sparkly character at the party. Their push and pull on that rocky, icy highway of the Saturnian rings that guide the Capricorn lifestyle offer them a dance between the instinct to work in good time and to have a good time. These oscillations can appear fevered and wild to the unwitting observer, but there is a graceful physics to that pendulum for a balanced Capricorn.

Skin and bones, those are the places you’ll typically see strengths and imbalances in the capricorn archetype and that’s on account of their dominion over some of the main regulatory devices in the body: Skin, hair, and knees; Teeth; Joints, especially the knees; Bones and the skeletal system; Anterior pituitary gland. Gall bladder.

Capricorns can run cold and be depressed in the tissues of the body, and emotionally. This blend endeavors to support the skin, bones, digestive and hormone balance with bright, warming, moving, oily plants. We chose peppermint because it’s virbrant and warming; mucilaginous, moistening mineral rich Mullein, an herb ruled by Saturn according to Nicholas Culpepper; another bone builder in Nettles; tasty anti-oxidant  Safflower, and well known, oily liver and gall bladder tonic, Burdock. Finally we round out the blend another root, Sarsaparilla, this one is hormone balancing, a spicy hormone balancing Chaste Tree Berry, warming and moistening Cinnamon, and just a hint of fiery Cayenne.
